RV awning artwork guidelines

To make sure your custom RV awning looks sharp and professional when printed, follow these guidelines when uploading photos, logos, and graphics. The better the image you upload, the better your finished awning will look.

Best file types

Recommended

  • PNG (.png)
  • JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg)

Also accepted

  • SVG (.svg)
  • PDF (.pdf)
  • AI (.ai)
  • EPS (.eps)

Vector files such as SVG, AI, EPS, and PDF give the highest quality results because they scale without losing clarity. Keep in mind that if a vector file has photos placed inside it, those areas may still be low resolution depending on how the file was saved.

Photo quality requirements

For photographs, higher resolution always produces better results.

Recommended

100–150 dpi at the full art dimensions. Example: artwork printed at 50" × 50" should be about 5000 × 5000 pixels or more.

Avoid

  • Screenshots
  • Images copied from social media
  • Images downloaded from websites
  • Photos that look blurry, pixelated, or out of focus
Images that look fine on a phone screen may not look good when enlarged onto an RV awning.

Logo requirements

Upload

  • Original logo files (AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF)
  • Transparent PNG files
  • High-resolution JPEG files

Avoid

  • Screenshots of logos
  • Logos copied from websites
  • Small images pulled from social media profiles
If your logo looks blurry on screen, it will likely print blurry too.

Transparent backgrounds

If you want only your logo or graphic to appear — with no white box behind it — upload a PNG file with a transparent background. JPEG files do not support transparency.

Artwork placement

You can resize and reposition your image right inside our design tool. For best results:

  • Avoid stretching images larger than their original size.
  • Keep important text and logos away from the edges of the design area — our safe-print overlay shows you exactly where.
  • Review your proof carefully before submitting your order.

Color expectations

Colors shown on phones, tablets, and monitors may vary from printed colors. Screens use RGB; anything printed uses CMYK. While we strive for accurate color reproduction, slight variations are normal in large-format printing, and some shift can occur when converting from RGB to CMYK.

Common issues that cause poor print quality

  • Blurry photos
  • Screenshots
  • Small images from Facebook or Instagram
  • Images copied from Google searches
  • Low-resolution logos
  • Heavily compressed images
